Ebro Catfish Excursions

Carp fishing on the lower River Ebro is practically virgin and little is known of the potential in our area of the river from Tivenge to Tortosa. Certainly the locals fish a little but without being rude have very very basic skills. When fishing for the cats We have seen fish that will comfortably exceed thirty pounds with a good number of twenties. Most who fish here are looking for the Cats and the Carp tend to get ignored.
In the winter of 05 and 06 we spent a little time fishing some potential areas and although we had some fantastic days fishing there were no monsters. We caught numbers rather than size of individual fish. A lot of fish in the mid doubles with a few pushing the twenty. we also had Crucians to 5 lb, Rudd to about the same, Roach over two lbs, and smallish Chub, decent Barbel and several other species including Zander, Black bass, Sea Bass, Mullet and we are twenety miles from the sea.
The general coarse fishing is varied and exceptional.

The Package
Your angling holiday will begin on your arrival at Reus airport where you will be met and driven to our guesthouse accommodation and intoduced to your hosts.
A meal will be ready on your arrival.
You will then be given a tour of the area and an intoduction to the fishing with your guide.
Breakfast before you go fishing, a packed lunch with cold drinks to take with you. Your guide will drive or ferry you to swims each day then pick you up again and an evening meal on your return. If your in the mood perhaps a trip down to the local pub for a few beers and watch Barcelona Beat up Chelsea on the huge telly. The beers are a euro a bottle and the same for a double whiskey.
Perhaps you dont want to fish every day, perhaps you fancy sightseeing or birdwatching the Vultures, Eagles, Flamingos, Kites etc, a spot of sea fishing or Catfishing from one of our boats. The package can be tailored to suit your whims.
After your stay you will be driven back to the airport and like our Catfishing holidays the vast majority of anglers do come back for more. We did, and stayed.
