| march 5 fished with nigel 12c started about 1 and missed a couple of half hearted runs, moved further up river and had one of about 70 straight away then nigel had his pb at 95 and at the death i had another long lean fish at 125 lost one more only on for about 5 secs probably the hook in the pads, no chance. finsihed at 7pm getting cold | 70, 95 and 125 lbs |
| march 14 regular miguel trying out his new baitrunners, struck at one without turning of the baitrunner....what a mess, then a dropped bait and at 7pm a double take I picked up one rod and miguel the other. mine dropped the bait but miguels did not...excellent scrap.. | 107 lbs |
| march 17 had a day in k3 fishing the corn on the waggler 70 lb mixed bag, carp to about 14lb, crucians to 3 lb and one good rudd about the same size. and two small chub. good fun | |

| 1 april. Guided for three days for another business. water temp on the first day was 12 and caught two fish but the temp dropped to 11c what a difference a few half hearted bites but no fish. On the third day the river was starting to rise and colour again. | 50 lbs 116 lbs |

| 27 april went back to the same spot. this time about 80 lb mixed bag on similar tactics but nothing bigger than low doubles. Put out a deadbait for a cat after spotting it roll. took it within ten minutes. good scrap. | about 80 lbs .....No scales |

| May. 11 days fishing 17 cats, Two three fish days, Two blanks. Although 11 in 17 days sounds fairly good the fishing has been tough. They have been difficult to locate and tempt. Two reasons, I think.The river was treated with a chemical to kill the mosca negra larve. which is a small black fly of the mosquito family that can have bad site effects when bitten. Last year The same happened and the fish were almost impossible to catch for a couple of weeks. The river ran very green alsost like an algae and had a strange smell. The second reason, Its been a very wet spring, the river levels very high and for much longer than normal. The lack of weed has kept the fish in ther winter areas that took me two blank sessions to discover.
